Christine E. ArendasMs. Christine E. Arendas is a Partner in the Orlando office of CPLS, P.A. She is a member of the Firm’s Adoption and Mediation Practice Groups.

Ms. Arendas is a Florida Bar Board Certified Adoption attorney, having practiced in adoption law for more than 11 years. She is one of the few attorneys in Florida invited as a Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys, a national association of highly experienced adoption attorneys. In the past 4 years, she has been recognized as one of the leading adoption attorneys in Florida.

Prior to her extensive work in the adoption practice area, Ms. Arendas accumulated a comprehensive background in family law, probate, and guardianship, representing clients in a broad array of matters, including paternity, child support, divorce, temporary custody by relatives, and termination of parental rights; summary and formal probate administration; and guardianship of person and property. She derives her extensive experience not only from her practice as an attorney, but also from working as a family law paralegal for more than 13 years.

Ms. Arendas is a Florida Supreme Court Circuit Civil Mediator. She has significant experience mediating complex situations. She has also conducted debt collections and foreclosure mediations.

Ms. Arendas has extensive experience in litigating adoptions and termination of parental rights matters, representing clients in state court, including trial preparation, discovery and depositions, drafting pleadings, motions, ex parte, and contested/uncontested hearings/trials.

Ms. Arendas’s extensive experience led her to specialize in adoption. Her practice focuses on adoption, including domestic adoptions, DCF interventions, grandparent and stepparent adoptions, relative and non-relative adoptions, interstate and intrastate adoptions, termination of parental rights, surrogacy contracts, assisted reproduction matters, including egg, sperm and embryo donation contracts, family, guardianship, and probate .

Ms. Arendas strives to be relentlessly responsive to her client’s needs. She delivers the best quality product in the most efficient manner utilizing her extensive experience and superior time management and organizational skills.

Ms. Arendas balances a diverse caseload and is committed to a broad range of professional and civic responsibilities. She serves as the Executive Director of A Chosen Child, Inc., a licensed child-placing agency. She is the Vice Chair of the Legal Aid Society of Osceola; the Secretary for IDignity Osceola, Inc.; and board member of the Central Florida Family Law Inns of Court, Florida Adoption Council, and Community Hope Center.. She served as the president for the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers in 2010-2011. She is a longstanding member of the Orange County Bar Association, Osceola County Bar Association, Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Central Florida Family Law Inns of Court, and the Florida Adoption Council.

Ms. Arendas is active in various organizations and activities in her community, volunteering with Osceola County Teen Court, Boy Scouts of America (District and Troop level), IDignity Osceola, and Justice Teaching (an initiative of Florida Supreme Court Justice R. Fred Lewis). She also teaches Adoption Law as an adjunct professor at Barry University School of Law.
